She earned her undergraduate degree in Government and Western Legal Traditions from Liberty University and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the Liberty University School of Law.
As an undergraduate, she interned at a workers’ compensation law firm in Atlanta, Georgia. While in law school, she further developed her practical skills through an internship at a local law firm, where she gained hands-on experience in family law and criminal law.
Following law school, Professor Hartman practiced family and criminal law in the private sector for several years before transitioning to public service. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she enjoys spending time with her husband and remains actively involved in her church community.
