Experience
Mr. Foster is a partner at Hawthorne & Hawthorne, P.C., one of the largest law firms in Southside Virginia, where he also serves as the assistant director of information technology. He was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in October 2021 and focuses his legal practice on civil litigation, criminal defense, and traffic defense.
He has argued cases before every level of courts in Virginia, including the Virginia Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals of Virginia, and has lectured on legal ethics. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Foster gained valuable experience serving as an intern, legal assistant, office manager, and law clerk at the firm.
A 2021 graduate of Liberty University School of Law, Mr. Foster focused in his studies on advocacy, criminal justice, and trial advocacy. During law school, he was a member of the trial team, served as a student representative for LexisNexis, and was an active member of the Student Bar Association. Mr. Foster earned his undergraduate degree from Longwood University in 2015, receiving a B.S. in Criminology with a minor in Cybersecurity, Forensics, and Policy. In 2014, he was selected as an IT Lab Fellow and completed graduate-level coursework in information technology at the Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University.
Mr. Foster is from Lunenburg County, Virginia, and continues to reside there. He remains committed to offering dedicated legal advocacy while serving his community.
