Biography
Prof. Freier joined the Liberty Law faculty as an adjunct in January 2025. In addition to teaching, he is a full-time prosecutor with the Lynchburg Commonwealth Attorney’s Office prosecuting violent crime, firearms offenses, and the possession and distribution of both drugs and child pornography.
He earned his J.D. at Liberty University School of Law in 2018. During his time at Liberty Law, he served as the law school chaplain, chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) team, and member of the trial team. He was also the supervisor running the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) clinic. He had the opportunity to participate in several ADR and trial team competitions and earned the Virginia Trial Lawyers Trial Advocacy Award, the ADR Award, and the Pro Bono Distinguished Service Award.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Western Legal Traditions from Liberty University.
