Biography
Allison Schaefer began teaching at Liberty in the spring of 2022 and serves as a full-time undergraduate faculty member in both the Exercise Science and Strength and Conditioning degree programs. Ms. Schaefer, originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, came to Liberty in 2016 to play on the Flames’ NCAA Field Hockey team and has remained in Lynchburg ever since. After completing her undergraduate degree, she started her graduate degree while simultaneously serving in the Liberty Club Sports Operations department.
Professionally, Ms. Schaefer has trained a variety of athletes in the private sector for over 3 years and continues to do so alongside her teaching career. She coaches field hockey as well for both a local high school team and a Virginia-based field hockey club. One of her favorite parts of her teaching role is getting to mentor future strength coaches and clinical professionals through the program to prepare them to serve their athletes, clients, and patients while showing them Christ’s love.
