Athletic Training Standardized Patient Center
Practice Your Clinical Skills
Get the type of training you need with Liberty’s own Standardized Patient Center. Here, you’ll practice your clinical skills and receive feedback from faculty and upperclassmen in our athletic training work-study program prior to taking your practical exams. Every practice session and practical exam is recorded with Sony HD cameras and SimCapture Pro from B-Line Medical. This video-based platform gives you the opportunity to evaluate and learn from your practice session and practical exam videos.
First-Hand Experience
Standardized patients act out scenarios during practical exams to provide students with a realistic clinical learning environment.
Equipment
The Standardized Patient Center includes:
- 24-seat classroom with treatment tables
- Control room
- 3 standardized patient rooms
One of the patient rooms has an Astroturf floor to better simulate on-field evaluations. The other two rooms are used to simulate off-the-field evaluations.
