Biography

Dr. Don Raleigh currently serves as the Dean of the Liberty University School of Education. Prior to his move to his current role, he served as Senior Associate Dean for Academic Operations at the Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He served in that capacity for two years working with students on strengthening the culture of osteopathic learning and aligning curriculum and operations to prepare student-physicians for their future mission of healing from a holistic approach.

Dr. Raleigh retired after thirteen years serving as superintendent of Pryor Public Schools in Pryor Oklahoma.  Dr. Raleigh started as an educator in 1988 and has served in almost every role as a teacher, coach, and administrator in public schools. He holds a B.S. in Natural Sciences from Northwestern Oklahoma State University, a M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from Oklahoma State University, and an Ed. D in School Administration from Oklahoma State University.

Dr. Raleigh was named the 2017 Oklahoma Association School Administrators (OASA) Oklahoma Superintendent of the Year and the OASA District 6 Superintendent of the Year three times (2017, 2015 & 2012). He was also named the 2014 Oklahoma Administrator of the Year by the Oklahoma Advisory Council. He has been honored as the 2006 Coke-Cola Joseph B. Whitehead Educator of Distinction and was inducted into the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014.

Raleigh served as the 2019-2020 Oklahoma Association of School Administrators President, he also served as a member on State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister’s Advisory Committee, the committee to “Develop, recruit and retain Oklahoma’s Workforce”, the Oklahoma Character.org Board of Advisors, the Mid-American Industrial Park Workforce Development Council and was the 2016-18 Chairman for the Oklahoma Advisory Council. He previously served on the Oklahoma Standards Setting Steering Committee.
