Shawn Bielicki, Ed.D.

Biography

Dr. Shawn M. Bielicki serves the School of Education as Interim Dean. Bielicki previously served Liberty University as an Associate Dean for the College of Applied Studies & Academic Success, and as the Director of Teaching Excellence, Associate Director for the Center for Teaching Excellence, Teaching Consultant, Subject Matter Expert, and Professor. He is an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and the Executive Editor for the Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning. He serves on the board for the Southern Regional Faculty Development & Instructional Design Consortium, and is an advisor for the Omega Nu Lambda Honor Society for online students.

An award-winning teacher and administrator, Bielicki is passionate about faculty development, assessment, and student retention and success. He has led university committees and initiatives, including artificial intelligence, various scoring committees, and faculty recognition programs, grants, and awards. He has led many academic workshops, bootcamps, seminars, webinars, and podcasts. He has served as chair and keynote for conferences, institutes, and consortiums. Prior to his calling to Liberty, Bielicki served as an Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, School-to-Work Program Coordinator, Student Retention Coordinator, Department Chair, Curriculum Coordinator, Business and Computer Teacher, Adjunct Professor, Mentor Teacher, and Coach.
