Program Expectations & Advising Resources for the Ed.S. in Special Education
Non-Licensure
The School of Education through Liberty University Online offers several programs at the post-graduate level. The Education Specialist program prepares candidates to be competent, effective leaders with a Christian worldview who will model high standards and assume a leadership role in the field of education. The Special Education degree allows candidates to dive into advanced research, learning theory, institutional assessment techniques, and curriculum development practices. Throughout our special education EdS degree program, candidates can develop the skill set needed to be more effective special education teacher and administrator for K-12 students.
This is a non-licensure program.

- This course must be taken in the final semester. EDUC 798 is not transferrable into the Ed.D. program.

The purpose of the School of Education is to develop Christ-centered educators and leaders through rigorous, biblically-based instruction and practical training.

This program does not lead to state licensure or certification. Candidates in this program are not eligible to pursue a student teaching or internship semester.
