Commuter Tailgates

Fall 2020 Commuter Tailgate Update

As we navigate COVID-19, our tailgates will look a little different this year. We will be exercising social distancing and face masks will be required.  We will also have a staggered event, meaning you will need to request a wristband for one of our three, 1-hour event timeslots. These wristbands will need to be picked up from the Commuter Lounge by 4 p.m. on Friday, the day before the tailgate.

Limited wristbands will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. Due to a limited number of wristbands, only one wristband and one guest wristband can be picked up. Married students with kids or students with families joining us at a tailgate, contact, commuters@liberty.edu for additional wristbands.

  • Tailgate #1: 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
  • Tailgate #2: 1:45 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
  • Tailgate #3: 3:00 p.m. – 4:00p.m.

Join us for food trucks, corn hole, games, Chick-fil-A sandwiches, and LIVE streaming of the LU football game.

We look forward to tailgating with you!

Clear Bag Policy

In an effort to enhance fan safety and expedite entrance university events, Liberty University implemented a new security screening process in 2016. This process includes a clear bag policy that will limit the size and types of bags that can be brought into the stadium by fans. The implementation of this measure is intended to enhance public safety while minimizing time spent searching bags at gate security checkpoints, thus easing access into the stadium.
