Cultivate your passion for the past with a History Minor at Liberty University. Designed to match your goals, this diverse minor gives you the opportunity to focus on one area/field of history or to take on a wide range of classes.

A History Minor can complement many different types of majors and career paths. Our courses are crafted to help you develop critical thinking and analytical skills, as well as strengthen your writing, communication, and research abilities.

Liberty’s History professors are published authors and offer specialized training in their areas of expertise.

And as for hands-on learning, you’ll have access to the Liberty-owned Historic New London as well as numerous historical sites within easy driving distance of the campus. With this minor, you’ll also be able to work with archaeological objects and conduct research on primary source documents.

This minor is offered through the Department of Humanities and is open to students in any major.
