Biography
Professor Simmons is the Senior Professional Advisor of Interdisciplinary Studies. She acts as Faculty Advisor for Juniors and Seniors in the program and meets with prospective students interested in exploring customized degree options. Professor Simmons loves connecting with students and teaches in both the Interdisciplinary Studies and English departments. She also serves as the Managing Editor for NEXUS: The Liberty Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies, and as Assistant Faculty Advisor for the Chi Iota Sigma Honor Society.
Prior to coming to Liberty University in 2020, Professor Simmons supported her husband’s career as a U.S. Air Force Pilot-Physician and homeschooled their three children through numerous cross-country moves. She is currently pursuing her PhD in English, specializing in British literature.
