Conference USA Faculty Achievement Award
Faculty Achievement Award Description
The Conference USA Faculty Achievement Award highights and celebrates distinguished contributions withhonors institutional professors who demonstrate a record of outstanding teaching, research, service and/or scholarly activity within their academic discipline. The annual award recognizes one winner who will receive an “institutional” honorarium ($5,000) and become the university’s nominee for professor of the year.
Award Criteria
Eligibility
- Nominee must be a full time faculty member;
- Demonstrate an outstanding record of scholarly contributions in teaching, research/creative activity and/or service;
- Attained regional, national or international recognition for contributions or achievements within the discipline; and
- Not be a former recipient of the CUSA Faculty Achievement Award.
Application Requirements
- Letter of recommendation from your Dean
- A curriculum vitae that highlights scholarly activities in 5 pages or less.
- Impact statement that should address the following (in the order indicated), in 3 pages or less.

- Area(s) of expertise.
- Significance of work in the field.
- Teaching.
- Mentoring students or other faculty.
- Service and engagement.
- Professional recognition, awards, and honors.
- Other (e.g., community engagement, relevant personal accomplishments)

Conference USA – Professor of the Year Award Description
The Conference USA Professor of the Year Award is determined by a committee comprised of Provosts from each member institution and individuals will not be eligible to vote for their own nominee. The faculty member chosen will receive an additional “conference” honorarium ($15,000) for the distinction. The CUSA Faculty Achievement Award winner for the institution will be their nominee for the CUSA Professor of the Year Award.
