Community Groups
What are Community Groups?
Community groups are held weekly, on Wednesday nights following Campus Community. Centered on prayer, confession, and repentance, gathering in smaller groups allows a student to ask the question, “How does the truth we all heard in Campus Community apply in my life?” There is no greater setting for the development of meaningful relationships, accountability, and discipleship than community groups.
Become a Community Group Leader
The Community Group Leader (CGL) ministry provides students a rare opportunity to serve on the “front-line” of ministry across Liberty University as small group spiritual leaders. Becoming a CGL is an opportunity both to be invested in as a leader as well as an opportunity to serve and minister to other students on or off-campus.
Community Groups for Commuters
Are you a Commuter Student that has a desire to get or stay connected spiritually through a community of your fellow students?

Get plugged into a Commuter Community Group. Groups meet throughout the week, all over the city of Lynchburg. You can connect with a group based on the day of the week that it meets or where it meets. You can also connect with a group that caters to males, females, or one that is co-ed.
Visit our Off-Campus Community Groups page for a complete listing of available groups.
Become a Commuter Shepherd
Commuter Community Groups are led by Commuter Shepherds. These off-campus groups, which are centered around Campus Community, are set up as either male, female or co-ed. Their meetings are designed to give commuters similar spiritual connectivity as on-campus residential students.
Becoming a Commuter Shepherd allows you to grow in personal leadership skills while engaging off-campus students in spiritual and personal growth!
