MSPH in Epidemiology
Liberty University’s Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) in Epidemiology is a specialized research-based program focusing on epidemiology, the scientific study of diseases within the population. With this degree, you’ll get advanced knowledge in data collection and analytics, epidemiologic research skills, and competencies in public health. Learn scientific study patterns, models, causes and effects of health, and disease conditions in defined populations.
The MSPH in Epidemiology will prepare you for high-demand careers in epidemiology, research positions in government and administrative institutions, doctoral pathways, and other advanced positions.
You will complete the same core courses as the MPH such as Biostatics, Principles of Epidemiology, Public Health Administration, and Social and Behavioral Theory Applications in Public Health. You will also take methods courses unique to this program in areas such as advanced research and data visualization and be required to complete both an Epidemiology Thesis and a supervised Applied Practice Experience. If you are interested in a non-research, non-thesis degree in epidemiology, see the Master of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology.
The MSPH is offered by Liberty University’s Department of Public and Community Health.
