Beginning in Fall 2025, this program’s official name will change to: Master of Arts (M.A.) in Global and Intercultural Leadership.

Liberty University’s Master of Arts in Global Studies program is for men and women serving in cross-cultural contexts, whether that be within their own country or in other parts of the world. Courses address the biblical and theoretical basis for global involvement and provide a foundation in cross-cultural communication, diverse cultures and worldviews, world religions, contextualization, and current global trends.

This program is well-suited for cross-cultural service in many contexts.


Liberty Theological Seminary is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools (ATS). Your divinity degree is approved by ATS and has met rigorous accreditation standards. So you can feel confident that your degree is both academically excellent and well-respected among churches, ministries, and nonprofit organizations. Liberty University is also accredited by SACSCOC.

Elective Options

The Master of Arts in Global Studies includes three open elective courses. These courses can be chosen from another discipline or they can be used to complete a thesis. Students choosing to complete a thesis would take RTCH 680, THES 689, and THES 690 as their elective courses.
