Dr. Robinson, a former Liberty University student debater, embodied the spirit of inquiry, resilience, and unwavering dedication. His infectious enthusiasm left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross paths with him. Despite life’s adversities, he stood out as one of the sweetest and most endearing students we’ve ever had. Coaches, teammates, and peers alike cherished him.
Tragically, Rakeem’s journey was cut short in 2022 when he unexpectedly passed away at the age of 27 due to a severe seizure. His commitment to research—specifically counter-narratives for minority communities regarding mental and physical health—was commendable. Posthumously awarded his Ph.D., Rakeem’s legacy continues to inspire us.
