Morgan Copeland

Assistant Debate Coach

Morgan Copeland is an Assistant Coach of Debate at Liberty University.

Morgan debated at Liberty University for four years, achieving the sweet sixteen (octo-finals) of the National Debate Tournament (NDT), Cross Examination Debate Association (CEDA), and the American Debate Association (ADA) as a varsity debater. She also won first speaker at the CEDA Nationals her senior year. As a coach for Liberty University’s debate team, she has successfully guided multiple teams to qualify for the NDT, including securing a first-round at-large bid team, and has led several teams to the elimination rounds of the Cross Examination Debate Tournament. Her debaters have competed in elimination debates and earned top speaker awards at prestigious national tournaments, such as Northwestern, Texas, Wake Forest, Harvard, West Point, CEDA, and the NDT.

Morgan graduated from Liberty University in 2021 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a minor in Sociology, and earned her Master’s in Communications in 2023. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Communications at Liberty University.
