We have probably all gone into a store and grabbed a shopping card that was faulty. I had one just last week that had two front wheels that loudly rattled the whole time I was in the store. It was annoying to those other customers I was around, but social distancing was not an issue.

The other day, I took a cart that one front tire did not touch the floor at all, and steering it was going to be impossible. Another younger and stronger person came and took it from me saying they were OK with using it. That made me think again about our Spiritual walk.

There are four major pillars that hold up our walk: Fellowship with other believers, Time in the Word, Prayer, and Salvation. In my early days, we were in church, said grace at every meal, and were in Sunday School every Sunday. Unfortunately, my “one wheel that was off the floor” was Salvation. Without that, steering my life was impossible. Everything else was just socializing.

On the day I finally accepted Jesus as my Savior and the Lord of my life the other pillars could make a difference because of the Holy Spirit’s indwelling as my “cart steerer.” At that very moment, all that the Bible would teach me and, like food to sustain me, dropped into my “cart” filling it. There were still times when I started down the “wrong aisle,” but the Spirit quickly re-routed me to the straight and narrow way. I cannot be more thankful!

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your intervention in my life! I pray for others who are reading this right now who may have “one wheel” off the floor of their life too. Please intervene for them as You did for me so their life will be complete lacking nothing. We will praise you!

I pray this in the precious name of Jesus.
