Biography
Dr. Douglas A. Spears is an Associate Professor of Counseling at Liberty University and has served in counselor education since 1995. He has been a licensed professional counselor since 1998. His research interests include the impact of infertility and adoption resolution on dyadic adjustment, attachment, trauma, and addiction within adoptive contexts, as well as the assessment and treatment of AuDHD. He also studies relational integrity and spiritual formation, particularly as they relate to supporting pastors in ministry.
