Biography
Dr. Christopher Ostrander currently serves as a core faculty member for the Department of Counselor Education and Family Studies at Liberty University. Clinically, he and his wife, Dr. Melissa Ostrander, own and counsel within their private practice solely through telehealth, serving clients in both North Carolina and Florida. Dr. Christopher Ostrander specializes in trauma, and couples counseling working with mostly military personnel and their families. He is also active in advocacy efforts as the founder of SOF Network, a nonprofit serving the Special Operations Community which offers access to vetted clinical providers, mentoring opportunities for Veteran’s pursuing graduate work in mental health and clinical research. Dr. Ostrander’s research and scholarship activity includes counseling skills, and spiritual integration in counseling. Currently, his research interests include PTSD, perceived pornography addiction, and integration of spirituality in counseling.
