Biography
Dr. Johnson has served as an online Chair, the Director of Clinical Training as well as the Director of the Marriage and Family Therapy (online) program for Liberty. Dr. Johnson is a licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), AAMFT approved supervisor, and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). He has experience as both a faculty supervisor and an individual supervisor for students and resident practitioners. He is a member of Association of Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES), Virginia Counselors Association (VCA), Virginia Counselor Education and Supervision (VACES), Lynchburg Area Counseling Association (LACA), and the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT). His research interests include supervision, client growth & resilience mindset, medical family therapy, grief recovery, and family experiences with adoption.
