Biography
Dr. Stowe is an instructor for the Departments of Interdisciplinary Studies and History at Liberty University. Since 2010, he has taught residential and online collegiate courses for Liberty University and the Virginia Community College System. In addition to serving as a college instructor, he works for Liberty University Online Academy as a high school History teacher.
His research interests include burnout in part-time college instructors, history and memory with regard to the American Civil War and the Lost Cause, and American cultural history with a special interest in 19th Century American mourning customs. Though Dr. Stowe enjoys these research topics, his real passion is teaching and helping students achieve success in and outside the classroom.
When he is not in the classroom, you will find him enjoying time with his family, serving as a dance dad to his daughter, and discussing Batman with anyone who will listen.
