Biography

Dr. Christopher M. Sneeringer is Associate Professor of History, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Military Studies and serves as Online Operations Chair for Liberty University’s College of Arts & Sciences, where he also leads the online programs in Geography and Military Studies/Operations.

A Marine Corps veteran and former executive, Dr. Sneeringer brings more than three decades of military service, executive industry roles, strategic oversight, and instructional, curricular, and administrative leadership. He applies this experience to lead, teach, and develop courses and programs across the diverse disciplines housed within the College of Arts & Sciences. Committed to service, he oversees assessment initiatives, mentors Ph.D. candidates, and advises internships for online students in History, Geography, and Interdisciplinary Studies. Dr. Sneeringer’s career reflects a consistent mission to integrate rigorous historical inquiry with practical leadership, equipping students to understand—and shape—the world around them.
