Liberty University was recently announced as the recipient of three awards in Lynchburg Business magazine’s annual “Best of Business” reader’s choice contest.
Two awards were attributed to the School of Business: Best Business School (Silver) and Best MBA Program (Gold), and Liberty Athletics was also recognized with Best Sporting Event to Take Clients (Gold).
Housed in a three-story, 78,000-square-foot building that opened its doors in Fall 2019, the School of Business positions its students in an environment filled with the latest technology to prepare them for their futures in the business world. Among its many features is the stock market trading room outfitted with a live stock ticker and Bloomberg terminals that allows students to make real trades with Wall Street companies.
The heart of the School of Business lies in its three centers — Center for Entrepreneurship, the Center for Financial Literacy, and the Center for Cyber Excellence — each one designed to focus on the most current state of business practices and markets. The school’s motto, displayed in the main lobby, states the values of “Educate. Collaborate. Integrate.”
Liberty’s MBA program, offered residentially and online, trains students to succeed in the wide-ranging business world, in areas like executive leadership, financial management, marketing research, and healthcare administration. Each degree plan within this program allows students to select a specialization to fit their specific career interests, such as accounting, criminal justice, finance, healthcare management, human resources, and more. Liberty’s MBA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
The awards will be formally announced in the July issue.
