Residential B.S. in Public Health – Nutrition
Complete your Bachelor of Science in Public Health – Nutrition at Liberty University and prepare for a meaningful career promoting healthier communities. In this program, you’ll build a strong scientific foundation through coursework in human anatomy and physiology, microbiology, personal health, and probability and statistics. These courses prepare you for deeper, nutrition-focused study as you explore how food, wellness, and lifestyle influence population health.
Gain hands-on experience that strengthens your skills and confidence as an emerging nutrition professional. Through applied learning opportunities—such as community outreach projects, nutrition fairs and assessments, program planning, and skill building—you’ll practice translating nutrition science into real-world action. You’ll also learn from faculty who integrate their public health expertise with a Christ-centered approach to service.
As a nutrition student, you’ll explore how to design and implement nutrition interventions that address health disparities across diverse cultural, racial, gender, and socioeconomic populations. You will also have opportunities to learn from and collaborate with Registered Dietitians (RDs) who bring clinical, community, and public health experience into the classroom and fieldwork.
By the end of the Public Health – Nutrition major, you’ll graduate prepared for entry-level roles in community nutrition and public health settings or for future graduate study, including pathways toward becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
