Aaron Horton Memorial Scholarship Fund
Established in 2011 in memory of Liberty University alumnus Kenneth Aaron Horton, the Aaron Horton Scholarship Fund allows eligible students to pursue studies at Liberty in Aaron’s favorite discipline, history.
Aaron graduated from Liberty with a degree in history in 2007, and also completed work toward a Master’s in Ancient History and Classical Studies from the University of Wales. It was his hope and conviction to pursue doctoral work in history and one day join the Liberty faculty as a teacher, however, in April 2011 Aaron and his wife Rachel perished in an apartment fire in Lynchburg, Va.
In honor of Aaron’s love for learning, Liberty has promised to match every dollar given to the scholarship fund so that future history students may benefit from Aaron’s legacy.
