Concerned Women for America Bus Tour “Women for Amy” Will Make its Way to Liberty Friday Oct. 9
Concerned Women for America (CWA) will be wheeling its large pink bus onto Liberty University’s campus Friday as it begins its three-week “Women for Amy” tour, showing their support of the Supreme Court nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett.
Starting at 12 p.m., Penny Nance, president and CEO of CWA, and other representatives of the organization plan to meet with students and club members to inform them on why Judge Barrett should get confirmed into the SCOTUS and the importance this has for women.
CWA is also working with Liberty to transport 200 students to D.C. Monday, Oct. 12, for the first day of the three-day confirmation hearing of Judge Barrett at the U.S. Senate. Students interested in signing up for the day event can register through the link.
All information concerning the event can be found through the link.
Two years prior, CWA and Liberty sent 200 students to D.C. for the confirmation hearing of now Supreme Court Justice Brent Kavanaugh, and they hope to bring the same support for Judge Barrett.
CWA’s stop at Liberty will be one of many, as it travels through 11 states, which started on Tuesday, Oct. 6 in Atlanta, Georgia and will end in Phoenix, Arizona on Oct. 30. Standing as the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization, CWA’s goal is to bring biblical principle into all levels of public policy.
“So, even though no one could have foreseen the nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the United States Supreme Court at this crucial time in our nation’s history, we are thankful for the opportunity to see the first conservative, constitutionalist woman on the nation’s highest court,” according to a WCA press release.
