Liberty University Conference on Teaching Excellence

The Conference on Teaching Excellence will be held in January, tentatively Jan. 9-10 on the campus of Liberty University.  The conference will center on excellence in educator development, instruction, scholarship, best practices, and collegiality. This year’s event will more narrowly focus on creating a climate for success, nurturing relationships, motivating students to succeed in school, preparing for life beyond the classroom, and teaching students to deal with and overcome challenges.

  • Theme:  Motivating and Training Students to Become Champions: Lessons from Coaches that Translate into Classrooms
  • Keynote Speakers:  Dr. Dot Richardson, Brant Tolsma, Hugh Freeze & Ritchie McKay
  • Registration: Free.
    • LU Faculty: “Tap in” with their Flames pass at the registration desk at the conference.
    • Guests: Please begin each conference day by checking in at the registration desk in front of the Alumni Ballroom in the Montview Student Union.
  • Locations: Liberty University, DeMoss Hall, 1971 University Blvd, Lynchburg VA 24515. Montview Alumni Ballroom is located on 3rd floor, backside of DeMoss Hall. Please see the Campus Map for additional information.
  • Lodging/Parking: External guests will find many nearby hotels. Please park in any parking spot, except for those marked “Reserved.”
