Cross-Cultural Counseling

Support those who help others with advanced training in cross-cultural counseling

Member care is an in-demand specialty within the mental health field. Organizations need trained professionals who can help their missionaries and volunteers work through pre-deployment preparation, in-field support, post-deployment debriefs, and reintegration.

Through this program, you’ll learn how to:

Identify issues that cross-cultural workers commonly deal with such as ‘culture shock,’ self-care, cultural intelligence, and handling of grief and loss.

Train cross-cultural workers in wellness and resiliency techniques to cope with stress.

Administer interventions to increase cultural understanding, post-traumatic growth, debriefing models, and other strategies.

This program was created in collaboration with the Liberty University School of Behavioral Sciences.
