Biography

I am married to my childhood sweetheart. We have a blended family with six adult children. My husband and I enjoy serving in our church and traveling the world with our twin Yorkies named Abby and Gabby.

My clinical social work career has included roles ranging from acute and outpatient therapist to acute hospital case manager and social services director, acute rehabilitation hospital case manager, patient navigator, transitional care specialist, and inpatient palliative care and hospice clinical social worker.

My academic career includes teaching across undergraduate and graduate social work programs. I have also served in social work program leadership, faculty mentoring and development, curriculum design and review, student engagement initiatives, and accreditation-related activities.

As an educator, I integrate the Christian worldview with social work knowledge, ethical decision-making, critical thinking, and evidence-informed practice. One of the greatest privileges of teaching is helping students discover how God may use their individual gifts to serve others.
