Liberty Flames Athletics

Athletics has been an integral part of Liberty University's vision from the beginning. Starting with a single athletics team, Liberty now has a full-fledged NCAA Division I program that is 20 teams strong, a Club Sports program with 31 teams, and a growing Intramural program .

Liberty's NCAA Division I sports  program, made up of 20 teams, has won a total of 24 conference and regional titles since 2007.

Liberty's Club Sports program  has 31 teams: 17 Men's and 14 Women's. Club Sports teams have participated in national tournaments and placed well in regional events.

Intramural Sports are recreational sports leagues that offer a variety of team and individual sports.

Athletic Facilities


Liberty University's Williams Stadium

Liberty's excellent Athletic facilities include Williams Stadium , where the Flames football team plays, the Vines Center (nicknamed The Furnace), and Worthington Stadium , home to the baseball and softball teams. Recreational facilities include the unique Snowflex Centre , LaHaye Ice Center , LaHaye Student Union , and more.
