Pregnant and Parenting Students

Temporary disability accommodations are available for pregnancy-related medical complications or post-partum related medical complications that rise to the level of a disability. Students desiring accommodations must submit a request for accommodations along with documentation from their licensed health care provider indicating that the complication substantially limits one or more major life activities. For more information, residential students may email ODAS at odas@liberty.edu and online students may email luoodas@liberty.edu.

Complaints and reports of sex-based discrimination, which may include discrimination on the basis of pregnancy and parental status, may be reported to the Office of Equal Rights & Title IX.

If you are a pregnant employee of Liberty University, please contact Human Resources for accommodations.

Helpful Tips for Pregnant and Parenting Students:

Ask your school for help—meet with your school’s Title IX Coordinator or counselor regarding what your school can do to support you in continuing your education.
Keep notes about your pregnancy-related absences, any instances of harassment and your interactions with school officials about your pregnancy, and immediately report problems to your school’s Title IX Coordinator, counselor, or other staff.
If you feel your school is discriminating against you because you are pregnant or parenting you may file a report.
