Teaching With Technology Boot Camps
Residential Teaching With Technology Boot Camp
Teaching with Technology (TWT) Boot Camp introduces residential faculty to various educational tools that can be used to build visually engaging activities that increase student engagement. During this Boot Camp, faculty will receive in-depth training with dedicated time to practice and apply what they learned about these technologies, which will culminate in a project that can be replicated for their classes. This two-day, in-person boot camp is for residential faculty and will be held in DeMoss Hall, Room 3066. Online Teaching With Technology Boot Camp
Online Teaching with Technology (O-TWT) Boot Camp introduces online faculty to a variety of tools and features that can help them creatively engage their students by leveling up course communication, such as in their introductory or weekly announcements. This will be an in-depth training where faculty will use each of the tools that they learn to build a project that can be applied to their teaching practice. This one-day online boot camp will be held on MS Teams. Click here to register: https://course-registration.liberty.edu/202536/search?subjectCode=PDCT&courseNumber=259.
Teaching Academies
The Teaching Academies offer in-depth study and learning in a variety of topics such as student motivation, active learning strategies, identifying student strengths, use of AI, and more. During the teaching academy, faculty will receive interactive training with dedicated hands-on time to use and apply what they learned. Each teaching academy is two and half hours to ensure appropriate time to learn and practice.
In-Person Research Boot Camp
CTE is excited to announce the 2026 Research Boot Camp, June 1-5. Designed exclusively for higher education faculty, this multiday camp allows participants to be part of a team that conducts academic research and completes an entire journal article and academic poster in one week.
Over the course of boot camp, you will:
- Attend sessions on creating a journal article, submission strategies, and navigating the publication process
- Conduct original academic research with live participants
- Receive expert guidance on methodology, data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Prepare a scholarly article for submission to Liberty University’s Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning
- Create an academic poster to showcase your project at an upcoming conference
By the conclusion of the week, faculty will leave Research Boot Camp with an article accepted for publication in a scholarly journal, approval to present at a conference, a template for an academic poster, and skills for scholarly success. Additionally, participants will be provided meals and a stipend for attending all five days of camp. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be available upon request. Register by emailing cte@liberty.edu or via the Course Registration tool in myLU (Subject Code: PDCT).
Biblical Worldview Integration at Liberty University
Integrating a biblical worldview into academics is critical to a well-rounded Christian education. While important, this approach involves more than reading a Bible verse at the beginning of a lecture, having a devotional, or praying in class. Full integration advances this approach to incorporate the critical examination of academic content from a Christian student’s perspective.
Biblical Worldview Integration (BWI) identifies how God’s brilliant design is found across all disciplines. It also helps to explain how this identification reveals the very nature of God, man, creation, purpose, redemption, salvation, and order.
BWI is a necessary ingredient in a student’s search for truth, reason, and morality. It’s also essential to a student’s academic, social, and spiritual development.
