WAKE UP Week 3 – David Nasser

Overview:

God takes seriously people who desperately want Him. Tonight we focused on what attracts the presence of the Lord. Although revival is not guaranteed on our campus, we do know God loves those who hunger and thirst for His presence. However if we are feasting on the garbage this world, we will not have much of an appetite for the presence God. It is all or nothing. Often we desire to see Gods power and provision without seeking His presence first. In order to move us to a true desire for the presence of the Lord, we must seek the Lord for who He is.

Verses:

Psalm 27:4

One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.

Psalm 42:1-2

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?

Quotes:

“I want the presence of God Himself, or I don’t want anything at all to do with religion… I want all that God has or I don’t want any.” A.W. Tozer

“How do you honor a fountain? You drink from it.” John Piper

“The same source that saved you is the same source that sustains you.” Pastor David
