Serve Lynchburg Site Leaders help transform one day of service into a powerful experience for Liberty students and our local community partners in Lynchburg.
As a Site Leader, you will guide a team of student volunteers, build relationships with a community organization, and help create a service-experience that is organized, meaningful, and impactful.
Site Leader Responsibilities
• Lead and encourage a team of Liberty students at a local service site
• Act as the on-site connection between Liberty University and the Community partner
• Create a positive, organized, and engaging experience for volunteers
• Attend one required Site Leader training before Serve Lynchburg

Site Leader FAQs
What is the time commitment?
Site Leaders attend one training session and serve on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from approximately 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Do I receive CSER hours?
CSER is not awarded for this service day unless you are already completing your CSER hours with your assigned service site. For more information, please contact cser@liberty.edu to verify.
What happens at the training session?
Training prepares you to confidently lead your team, understand your responsibilities, communicate with your service site, and know what to expect on the day of Serve Lynchburg.
Can I drive myself to my site?
You are not allowed to drive yourself to the site on this day. You must ride with your team to ensure all students return to campus after serving on Liberty provided transportation.
Will I be serving with other Site Leaders?
Most sites have one Site Leader. Larger sites may have 2–3 leaders serving together.
What types of sites could I lead?
Sites vary and may include, but limited to nonprofits, schools, churches, and community organizations. Projects could include landscaping, painting, organizing donations, supporting events, or even community clean-up.
