9:35-10 a.m. – Grab lunch and leave for worksite
10:30 a.m. –2:30 p.m. – Serve at Site
3-4 p.m. – Arrive back on campus
5 p.m. – After Party Begins

Volunteer FAQs

How do I sign up with my friends?

Register for the same worksite, and you’ll serve together. Coming alone? No stress, this is a great way to meet other students and make new friends.

Can non-Liberty students participate?

Serve Lynchburg is open only to Liberty University students, faculty, and staff.

Where do I check in on April 25?

Check-in is at the Vines Center (Gate 1) from 8:45–9:20 a.m. Walk-ins will also check in at Gate 1.

Is lunch provided?

Yes! You’ll choose your lunch during registration. Pick it up at the Vines Center before heading to your site. If you’re driving yourself and want a provided lunch, you must pick it up at Gate 1 between 9:15 and 10 a.m. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available. Eat breakfast beforehand; lunch is provided only.

What should I wear?

Your Serve Lynchburg 2025 T-shirt (required)
Closed-toe shoes (required)
Pants are recommended for protection
Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty

Check your project description and the weather forecast. Outdoor site? Bring sunscreen or a rain jacket as needed.

What should I bring?

Refillable water bottle
Sunscreen or hat (for outdoor sites)
Snack if needed

Is transportation provided?

Yes! You’ll select a transportation option during registration.

Can I drive myself?

Yes. Select that you do not need Liberty transportation when registering. Some sites are up to 50 minutes away, so check your location before committing.

Are ADA accommodations available?

Most sites and transportation options offer ADA accommodations (noted in listings). Please request accommodations during registration. Day-of changes cannot be accommodated due to transportation logistics.

Can I switch sites or cancel?

Yes! Use your confirmation email and reference number to modify or cancel your registration only until April 22.

What if it rains?

Bring a rain jacket for light rain. We will only cancel due to severe weather and will notify you by email.
