Liberty University is introducing 10 new degree programs for the Fall 2026 semester, expanding its offerings across the fields of science, religion, arts, and more.
Liberty currently offers more than 700 unique programs of study from the certificate to the doctoral level. Over 600 programs are offered online.
Dance
- The newly renamed Department of Theatre & Dance has launched its first dance degree programs: the B.A. in Dance and B.S. in Dance. The programs seek to train the next generation of dance artists to utilize their art form to worship the Lord, to share the Gospel through movement, and to perform and create with excellence.
Divinity
The John W. Rawlings School of Divinity has introduced four new graduate and doctoral programs:
- The Ph.D. in Global and Intercultural Engagement, a multi-disciplinary degree, equips practitioner-scholars across disciplines to promote human flourishing, address complex issues, and lead in professional and ministry settings locally or globally. Courses engage the intersection of faith, intercultural communication, global engagement, and research. This residential program can be completed virtually from any location.
- The new residential M.A. in Theology and Apologetics explains how to think clearly, respond thoughtfully, and understand one’s faith in Christ amid a world full of competing ideas.
- Through the new M.A. in Pastoral Counseling, students will be equipped for wise, Scripture-focused counseling within the context of the church to support discipleship and address spiritual issues in the church and wider community.
- Offered through Liberty University Online Programs as of the Summer 2026 term, the Ph.D. in Ministry Studies is an accelerated doctoral program designed for ministry leaders who desire to move into advanced research, teaching, or scholarly work.
Engineering
- Engineering technology shapes many of the systems society relies on every day, from manufacturing processes to electronic devices. Students can explore this topic of study through the B.S. in Engineering Technology, a residential program that will examine how control systems, instrumentation, and embedded programming support modern operations.
- The new residential B.S. in Chemical Engineering focuses on a field that connects science, math, and engineering design by studying materials change, how systems operate, and how processes can be improved to maintain safe and efficient work.
- Designed to help students study advanced engineering topics through applied coursework, the online Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) focuses on computational aspects of graduate-level mechanical engineering.
Health Sciences
- The School of Health Sciences’ residential Doctor of Public Health (Dr.P.H.) in Health Policy Leadership and Management program aims to equip present and future public health leaders to understand the complexities of policy, management, and financial systems in order to effectively make a lasting impact on their populations.
- Offered online as of Summer 2026, the new Master of Health Sciences (M.H.S.): Maternal and Child Health allows students to explore how research, policy, and effective leadership can influence the health of mothers and children through a scientifically grounded approach that emphasizes the dignity and worth of every individual.
Physics
- The residential B.S. in Physics allows students to examine the laws that govern motion, energy, matter, and space. Through the program, students can study foundational scientific principles while strengthening their mathematical reasoning and scientific investigation skills, which are valued in research, technology, engineering, and data analysis roles.
Spanish
- Launched both residentially and online within the Department of Modern Languages, the B.S. in Spanish Communication: Translation and Interpreting combines academic depth with real-world application in its design to help strengthen one’s Spanish fluency while developing practical skills in translation, interpreting, and cross-cultural communication in preparation to serve others in business, healthcare, education, ministry, or community service settings.
