Our Core Values

Steward the Earth
We honor God by caring for His creation through recycling and responsible waste management.
Genesis 2:15

Strive for Excellence
Inspired by our founder’s words, “If it’s Christian, it ought to be better,” we pursue excellence in environmental stewardship—doing all things wholeheartedly for the Lord.
Colossians 3:23

Value Our People
We serve and support those who manage and maintain our campus waste, doing good to all just as Scripture teaches.
Galatians 6:10
Recycling 101

You can recycle plastic bottles, aluminum cans, paper, and cardboard at recycling stations or recycling drop-off enclosures.
Recycling stations are located all across campus in academic, recreational, and sporting facilities.
Recycling drop-off enclosures are located outdoors beside residential halls.
Please make sure that the recyclable items are empty and clean of food and liquid.
Glass and plastic bags are not currently recyclable at LU.
Please dispose of glass in the waste and take your plastic bags to the local grocery stores.
Please do not bag your recyclables. Instead, sort your loose recyclables in blue recycling totes, recycling stations, etc.
Make sure to flatten your cardboard before placing it in the cardboard dumpster or cart.
