Bird Sanctuary Special Project
The bird sanctuary idea began in 2022 after an LU student requested bird feeders and houses for the campus. We created a plan for a sanctuary in front of DeMoss that features bird feeders, houses, baths, wildflowers, seating, and signage.
After planting the meadow and installing accessories, the area successfully grew and continues to thrive, dying back each winter and regrowing in spring. Our Adirondack-style and boulder seating is often used, and we hope you and the wildlife enjoy this special spot.
