Biography

Dr. Percer grew up in Tennessee, where he received a call to the ministry of teaching. This led to an educational journey that involved working in a variety of ministry areas: youth, singles, children, small groups, and homeless. Upon completion of his Ph.D., Dr. Percer taught at Baylor University and McLennan Community College. He teaches a variety of New Testament classes at Liberty, where he also serves as the director of the Ph.D. in Theology and Apologetics program. His research interests include Second Temple Judaism, the letters of Paul, and apocalyptic literature. He is an active member of the Evangelical Theological Society and the Society of Biblical Literature. Dr. Percer enjoys reading, collecting comics, and drinking coffee. He currently lives in Lynchburg, Va. with his wife and two children.
