679 OnSite Capstone

CHMN 679 is a capstone course designated for students who’ve already served in full-time, salaried vocational ministry for two or more years (i.e., pastoral ministry, ministry director, missionary).  This does include weekly or monthly service ministry you may already be participating in. This also does not include experience in an educational setting, such as a teaching position in a Christian school.

Eligibility and Registration

Students who have completed at least 50 credit hours of coursework may begin the approval and registration process by emailing the Office of Experiential Learning at explearning@liberty.edu or submitting a Beacon request through Course Registration.

Note: Please be reminded that there is a DC Hold on this course so you cannot enroll in this class on your own as you do with most other courses. This must be completed through the Office of Experiential Learning – either through Beacon or email.

Your email or Beacon Request should include:

  • LUID
  • Resume
  • Three reference letters from three different ministry leaders confirming your previous ministry experience. Each letter should be one to two paragraphs.
  • Preferred term: Semester (Spring, Summer, or Fall) and sub-term (B-Term or D-Term).

Important: All three reference letters must be submitted together with your email or Beacon request. Please do not have ministry leaders send their letters individually.

Once all required information and documents have been received, we can proceed with the approval and registration process. Students will not be able to register for this course independently due to the DC Hold.
