Jeff Smyth

Biography
Professor Jeff Smyth brings a joyful passion for ministry and leadership to everything he does. For over 15 years, he served with a faith-based charity dedicated to the whole-life transformation of urban youth, their families, and communities—work that shaped his heart and sharpened his vision for disciple-making. Alongside this, he spent 15 years on the pastoral staff of two local churches, faithfully serving as both associate pastor and youth pastor, gaining hands-on experience in nearly every facet of church ministry.
Jeff’s ministry interests orbit around disciple-making (especially the way Jesus did it), youth ministry leadership, and developing leaders who lead with purpose and integrity. He’s also a big fan of baseball—whether coaching, watching, or just talking stats over coffee.
He’s shared his insights at conferences across North America, including Sonlife Disciple-Making Conference, Canada’s Youth Worker Conference, Today’s Teens, and Youth Specialties. Whether in the classroom, at a conference, or on the field, Jeff’s heart is to equip others to lead well, love deeply and make disciples like Jesus.
