Ethics & Compliance Training

Ethics training provides an overview of the university’s Code of Business Conduct and Whistleblower Policy. Participants will learn about ethical decision-making, conflicts of interest, reporting concerns, and the resources available when questions arise.

Campus Security Authorities play an important role in helping the university meet its obligations under the Clery Act. This training explains who qualifies as a CSA, what incidents must be reported, and when reports should be submitted. 

Who should complete this training? 
Employees identified as Campus Security Authorities. Course access is through Canvas and assigned based on job responsibilities. 

Topics include: 

• CSA responsibilities 
• Clery Act reporting requirements 
• Timely reporting procedures 
• Campus safety resources 

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects the privacy of student education records. This training explains when information may be shared, when consent is required, and how employees can safeguard student records. 

Who should complete this training? 
Employees with access to student education records. Course access is through Canvas and assigned based on job responsibilities. 

Topics include: 

• Student privacy rights 
• Directory information 
• Authorized disclosures 
• Protecting education records
