The Waste/Streets/Recycling Group in Grounds manages waste handling from dumpsters, outdoor trash cans, and compactors.
Liberty University uses single-stream recycling, also known as commingled recycling. Recyclables are collected in one container and then sorted at a materials recovery facility. Recycle bins are located throughout campus for convenience. Currently Liberty has a 25 percent recycling rate and has a goal to reach 40 percent recycling by 2020.

The Grounds Department cleans streets and parking lots and coordinates pavement repairs and other hard surfaces. Work orders can be submitted for assistance.
