Motor Vehicle Theft

This alert is being sent in accordance with the Jeanne Clery Act, as this incident represents a Clery Act crime that occurred on Clery Act geography and poses a serious or continuing threat to the campus community.

Liberty University recently became aware of multiple thefts of motorized scooters from the DeMoss Hall area of campus. The suspect stole a scooter and an e-bicycle that was not secured from the bike rack area on the east side of DeMoss Hall. It is recommended that all scooters, bicycles, etc. should be secured with a bike lock when left unattended on campus. This is an ongoing investigation. If you or someone you know has experienced similar situations, please reach out to LUPD immediately.

Be sure to lock up your vehicles, residential hall rooms, and offices when you leave. Remove any valuables from sight or take them with you when you leave. Never lease keys or means to access your vehicle within the vehicle.
