Summer Experiences: Converge

Has God given you a missionary heart for the world? What does missionary life look like? Come explore these questions while walking alongside experienced missionaries in a variety of outreach activities. Participate in daily missionary life in bustling cities and meet friendly Muslims along the way. Taste African culture and see firsthand the great gospel need in the Muslim world. Grow as a disciple-maker for Jesus. Is God drawing you to the unreached Muslim world?

Grow in your faith as you serve in Estonia, where less than 2% of the population knows Jesus. Spend much of your summer outdoors, working alongside Converge global workers and local leaders in a variety of summer camp ministries. You will experience youth and children’s outreach and evangelism in cross-cultural environments among Estonian and Slavic people groups and bring the gospel to those who have never heard the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Grow in your faith as you serve in the northern European country of Finland, which is in a post-Christian era and secularism and progressivism prevail. In fact, in this entire Nordic-Baltic region of the world, just 2-3% of people follow Christ. As an [IM]PACT Intern here, you will work alongside the creative Good Coffee Company and the Finnish Baptist Union by helping coordinate and serve in outreach, evangelism and ministry opportunities through the coffee shop and associated churches.

Grow in your faith as you serve in the Baltic country of Latvia. Work alongside the innovative and growing Latvian Baptist Union and its churches. Help coordinate and serve in outreach and evangelism opportunities, youth engagement, camp ministries and the unique Latvian Draft Camps. There is growing momentum for the church in this former Soviet republic. We estimate that only 2-3% people in the Nordic-Baltic region follow Christ.

Come and work among four unreached people groups in a remote and beautiful area of the world that few people have the opportunity to visit. The Islamic people you will live among have animistic strongholds, but you will be part of a team seeking to launch gospel movements. Experience culture through homestays. Prayer walk through villages. Study local language. Hike, snorkel and camp in this tropical region. Support local organizations (English teaching, environmental protection, nutrition education, etc).

Interns will have the opportunity to live cross-culturally in West Africa. They will learn and help lead children’s and sports camps, ministry site construction, leadership training in local churches and evangelism and outreach. They will explore their passions, purpose and calling. They will grow in persistence, humility, and their relationship with God.

Interns will have the opportunity to serve along side our Tokyo and Shirahama teams. In Tokyo, they’ll be working with a network of churches between Ikebukuro and Tokorozawa, building evangelistic relationships through English ministry while receiving ministry experience in the largest megacity in the world. In Shirahama, interns will serve in a rural, coastal town south of Osaka, alongside a church that serves the community with a suicide prevention ministry.

Interns will build relationships with Thai students through evangelistic English classes at Santisuk English School in Bangkok, Thailand, inviting them to cell, worship, outreaches and other events intending to help them come to Christ. You won’t be just teaching English, but giving your students the opportunity of a lifetime to hear about Jesus, usually for the first time.

Grow in your faith as you serve in Sweden, a northern European country where secularism and progressivism prevail. In fact, in this Nordic-Baltic region of the world, just 2-3% of people follow Christ. You can help make a gospel impact here as an [IM]PACT Intern. You will work alongside the innovative and growing SOS Church in Västerås, a Stockholm suburb, by helping coordinate and serve in outreach, evangelism and summer camp opportunities.
