Pass It On: Practice Generosity

May 6 – May 13 | All Liberty Residential and Commuter Students
Donate gently worn clothing, shoes, and small household items to those in need in the Lynchburg community. One Community One Voice will receive the donations and distribute them to individuals and families during their Back-to-School Giveaway in August.
Acceptable Donations
We will accept clothing and shoes. There is no need to separate items based on their type. Small household items such as storage bins/roller carts, microwaves, mini-fridges, small area rugs, lamps, small coffee/end tables, and kitchen items can be donated and are greatly appreciated! Please ensure these items have been cleaned before placing them in donation bins.
One Community, One Voice is a local organization that will collect the items and bless people with them locally!
The following items will not be accepted:
- Dirty items: including anything stained, torn, frayed, wet, or moldy
- Used hygiene items; old/used socks and underwear will not be accepted
- Broken or damaged items
- Large household items
- Weapons, sharp metal objects, or any potentially explosive materials
- Food or beverages

- Gwin Lot (near South Tower)
- Hill Bins are located at the Speakman Lot (near the School of Business)
Commuter students are encouraged to bring their donations to any of the designated on-campus drop-off locations listed above.
FAQs
When will donations be accepted?
Residential and Commuter students can drop donations in the on-campus bins from Wednesday May 6th through Wednesday May 13th.
Do I have to wash my clothes before donating?
Yes, please launder all items before dropping them in a bin.
Can I put large household items in the donation bins?
No. Our donation bins are marked for gently worn clothing, shoes, and other small household or personal items. Couches, futons, or sofas will not be accepted for this end-of-year donation.
Can I put food in the donation bins?
No, we will not collect or accept food in the bins. Please donate to the campus food bank.
What happens to materials that are dropped in our bins?
One Community, One Voice is a local organization that will collect the items and bless people with them locally!
