Serve Now Deployment

Twenty-four individuals from the Serve Now program gave up their Spring Break to serve alongside partner organizations during the week of March 15th-21st

Asheville, North Carolina

Ten Serve Now members and two leaders served alongside Samaritan’s Purse in Asheville, North Carolina. This was a rebuild trip in response to Hurricane Helene in 2024. The team completed many different tasks while working on two different homes. Their work consisted of painting, flooring, trim work, landscaping, and hanging doors and cabinets.

Honduras

Ten Serve Now members and two leaders served alongside World Gospel Outreach in Honduras. This trip focused on clean water initiatives and relationship building within the community of Nueva Capital. The team conducted educational presentations, distributed food bags and water filters, installed large concrete wash basins, and worked on the church in the community.

LU Serve’s Travel Safety Workshop: April 9th from 4-5:30 pm. Snacks provided.
Serve Now Connect: Trivia Night – April 13th from 5-7 pm. Dinner provided.

Prayer Points

Pray for those who are still rebuilding in North Carolina and Texas as Samaritan’s Purse continues to work in these two states.
Pray for the areas of Mississippi, Tennessee, and Louisiana that were affected by an ice storm as they are still in their clean up phase.
Pray for those affected by the tornado in Michigan and the flooding in Hawaii.
Pray that your peers may continue to do well in the second half of the Spring semester.
