Cal Thomas, Mo Isom to appear in Convocation next week

The week before Spring Break, Liberty University students will hear from a political columnist and a best-selling author in Convocation.

Monday, March 12:

Cal Thomas is one of the most popular syndicated columnists in the country, appearing in hundreds of newspapers. He regularly appears on Fox News and is the author of 10 books, including “What Works” and “Blinded by Might.” Thomas will share with students how to stand for the truths of the Bible and how to share those truths with nonbelievers.

Wednesday, March 14:

Mo Isom, a former All-American goalkeeper for the Louisiana State University soccer team, is a nationally sought-after speaker and blogger. Her first book, “Wreck My Life: Journeying from Broken to Bold,” was released in 2016 and quickly became a New York Times best-seller. Her new book, “Sex, Jesus, and the Conversations the Church Forgot” will be released this week (March 6). She will share with students her story of overcoming personal tragedy — including battling an eating disorder, the suicide of her father, and surviving a horrific car crash. Isom will testify how God’s power has been at work in her life.

Friday, March 16:

Various academic departments will hold alternative Convocations.
