We look for students to intentionally invest in their college experience. This requires a “growth mindset.” That means that while the typical program applicant is academically successful and engages in extracurricular activities, they understand the value of being a life-long learner. We seek open-minded students who are willing to venture out of their comfort zone and be servant-leaders.

We encourage students to begin their career search within the first semester or year. That involves meeting with the Director and discussing who you are and what you hope to do. We then encourage you to begin the process (resume, interviewing skills, etc.) with small steps/tasks that can be easily managed along with your other obligations. It is the small steps over the first two semesters that will put you well ahead of your peers in pursuing opportunities.

The program facilitates positive learning environments and opportunities to make life-long connections. It is up to each Eagle Scholar to engage and make the most of your experience in the Eagle Scholars and college.
